Being a leader isn't an easy job. "Tamso Ma Jyotigamaya" is an ancient verse from Hindu Upanishad, meaning "from darkness, lead me to light". Leaders do precisely that; they pull us out from chasms of adversities and lead us to light.
Kurt Lewin, a physicist and a social scientist explained a three-stage change process as "Unfreeze –> Change –> Refreeze" using the analogy of changing the shape of a block of ice. Lewin's Change Management Model framework is both simple & easy to understand for managing change.
Change is a common thread that runs through all businesses regardless of size, industry, and age. Our world is changing fast, and organisations must change too. Organisations that handle change well will thrive, whilst those that do not may even struggle to survive.
The trouble with change is that it makes us uncomfortable. We try to resist change and avoid venturing into the 'unknown' as much as possible; even so, we know there is no escape from change.
